Power Countdown CSM is a Control Strip Module that shows the remaining time before the various power conservation features kick in.
Next to each icon indicating a specific power conservation feature (disk spindown, screen dimming, system sleep) is a bar indicator that illustrates the amount of time before that power conservation feature becomes active.
Compatibility
The Power Countdown CSM will work on any Macintosh that supports a recent version of the Power Manager Dispatch software. When this manual was prepared, this included:

Installing the Power Countdown CSM
If you are using Mac OS 8.5 or earlier, you must drag the Control Strip Module to the Control Strip folder inside your System folder. If you are using Mac OS 8.6 or later, the Mac OS will recognize the Control Strip - merely drag it to your System Folder, and the Mac OS will move it automatically for you.
With Mac OS 8.5 or earlier:
1) Open your System folder.
2) Copy the Control Strip Module to the Control Strip Folder in your System folder.
3) Restart your computer.
Configuring the Power Countdown CSM
Once you've installed the Power Countdown CSM, you can configure it to match your personal preferences.

The popup menu lets you control the appearance of the Control Strip.
Display drive spindown countdown
Display the icon and indicator for drive spindown time.
Display screen dim countdown
Display the icon and indicator for screen dimming time.
Display sleep countdown
Display the icon and indicator for system sleep time.
